Laboratory of Ideas for Media Resilience 2.0
Laboratory of Ideas for Media Resilience:
Strengthening Resilience and Media Literacy of the Ukrainian Community in Lithuania 2.0
This project aims to enhance media literacy, information resilience, and civic engagement among Ukrainians living in Lithuania.
Building on the findings of a 2025 study Enhancing Resilience And Media Literacy Of The Ukrainian Community In Lithuania which you can find here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18YQXLB7vAB977yEVoArmRWbi7wJ8G4Qa/view), the project moves from analysis to action – supporting community members in developing and implementing their own initiatives that counter disinformation and encourage more conscious participation in public life.
The project combines training, collaborative idea development, a mini-grants competition, and practical support:
- Presentation of research findings on information habits and challenges
- Idea-generation workshops
- Launch of an open call for community initiatives
- Training in project management, budgeting, and pitching
- Mentorship support
- Support for implementing initiatives across Lithuania
10 selected grantees will receive financial support of 2,000 euros and must implement their initiatives within 2 months. The program also considers training part, mentorship, and access to a network of active community members. Initiative formats may vary – from trainings and workshops to information campaigns:
- Interactive workshops, trainings, or games on fake news, manipulation, and safe information consumption;
- Educational sessions for teenagers, youth, parents, or older generations;
- Development of practical materials and guides on fact-checking and digital security;
- Public discussions, film screenings with discussions, thematic clubs, or other informal events on media literacy;
- Information campaigns and local communication initiatives, etc.
You can find examples of possible initiatives in the competition documents below.
